continue our monthly ADOPT-A-PEW march the third Sunday
of each month (excluding March and June as a result of
Women's and Men's/Father's Day). This is an attempt to
lessen the possible stress of reaching the requested
goal of $100 per member by Homecoming. The ADOPT-A-PEW
RALLY is an effort to help achieve our Annual Budget.
Envelopes for this march are in the back of the church
pews. If you need additional envelopes, please contact
an usher. You may continue to use the Homecoming

Christian Education Ministry
Johnson Food Bank/Community Outreach
Missionary Ministry will work to support FeedMore,
which is Central Virginia's core hunger-relief
organization dedicated to provide those in need with
health meals and hope for a better tomorrow. The
Ministry will be collecting specific food Items each
month. During the month of April, we are asking for
donations of health snacks (fruit cups, raisins, and
granola bars). Please add these snacks to your grocery
list and place them in the box in the vestibule or
outside the church office. Items In the food bank and
those collected will be donated to FeedMore with
the Riverview Baptist Church Vera T. Johnson Food Bank
as the donating · organization. Help someone in need.
In honor of
Mother's Day, the Mother's Day Committee is asking the
Congregation to send cards to Mrs. Corinne Langley our
Mother of the church. Cards can be given to any member
of the Committee. They are Justine Coleman, Linda Lewis,
Birdia Thomas, Joyce Woodson and Janet Zimmerman, or
Etta Harvey. Cards will be collected until Sunday, May
us on Saturday, May 12, for lunch and field trip to the
Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia.
Lunch will be served at 12:00 Noon. The van will leave
church at 1:00 p.m. for the scheduled 1:30 p .. m.
museum tour, we will return at approximately 3:00 p.m.
The cost is $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for seniors
(65+). If interested, please sign the sheet located on
the table outside the church office or contact a member

Discipleship & Fellowship Ministry
School classes for all youth will be held every
Sunday in the Junior High Department near the church
office. The class will begin at 9:45 a.m. All youth
are invited to attend; the lesson will be
