The Christian Calendar
Today is the Second Sunday after Pentecost. (Pentecost is dedicated to the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles on the fiftieth day after the Resurrection of Christ). The color is GREEN. Green symbolizes the renewal of vegetation and generally of living things and the promise of life. White is used for all high Holy Days and festival days of the Church Year.
